What is LGV?

LGV is a variant of chlamydia that can cause more serious symptoms and that requires three weeks of treatment instead of one week. 

If we find chlamydia in pooled material, or in an anal swab from men who have sex with men, we carry out an LGV test on the anal swab.

This test is included at no extra cost.
